Last Sunday morning, they were definitely moving and chasing the does. Within seconds of my daughter shooting her doe, an 8pt came down the same path, stopped exactly where the doe was standing, put his nose to the ground and went straight to the doe lying 40 yards away.

They will, this warm up somewhat shut it down but from when the front comes in Wednesday on through the weekend should be GREAT !!!

I have no clue on how long, each area is different.

Went out this weekend. Saw one doe. Other hunter saw 3 doe I believe. Corn on the ground below the feeder. Only shots I have on my camera were at night. Anyone have good luck?

Went out this weekend and saw 1 doe. Nothing else at all. Did not look like anything was coming to the feeder. My other hunter only saw a couple doe himself. Camera on my feeder showed they are coming in at night to mine but not sure about all other feed spots. Anyone see much movement? I am losing hope in this area.

On the other hand, my wife and I went to the weigh station and loved it.

On the positive side, we have a friend that ownes about 60 acre north of Valera. Friday evening they had no less than 30 deer between 2 feeders, and it has been like that all season. He let my nephew shoot his first buck saturday evening, a nice 7 point.

My first year in Coleman County. I'm in the NE corner. I had tons of pics in Sept and Oct but Nov has been dead. I'm sure acorns and plenty of windy days have shaved down my opportunities. I heard 9 shots opening morning but only 4 or 5 since. I hope my neighbor is using some discretion. There were 2 or 3 8's a spike and a 6 with 4 or 5 does that were on my place 2 or 3 times a week. They were all 2-3 yr olds. Only seen the 6 a doe and fawn in 3 weeks. Hope some of the mature ones from Oct are still around just outsmarting me!

The weather & rut has them all over, not depending on the feeders..just yet but they will.

Rusty, the neighbor to the north owns from your north fenceline all the way to 585. I don't think he hunts much. The guys across the road, I dunno. Don't know about to the east either.

The Weigh Station has a great breakfast too ijohnston. Try The Corral for some good burgers, chick fried chicken, etc..its on South Colorado Street (block east of the ONLY red light in town) not sure their hours though.

My lease is near Hords Creek Lake. I had a bunch of bucks on camera in October but it seems to have slowed to mostly all does over the past few weeks. Hopefully the bucks will start to come back around.

We had a cold front blow in this evening. Tomorrow morning should be a good one to get out & rattle up something.

Cold front blew in early today, probably going to head down to the Lake Ivie lease to see whats running. Going to sit & hunt this time, not work. Was told that there are axis out there...so Im looking for spots as well as horns. The place is surrounded by 2 BIG ranches, all low fence. One side is a 3000 ac place, the other I believe is a 7000 ac. Rarely hunted. I DO know we have TONS of turkey & going to HAVE to work on the coons also.
