Zack I've heard of some problems with the PTO switches on the PDs, and the bolts falling out as you mentioned before. I hope I don't run into those problems, but I've also heard they've got most of that worked out on they're newer(2010) motors. Everything I heard about was just between 25-50 hours.
Doesn't PD have a line of motors from different manufacturers? Is the B&S the problem? .
they're 27HP is a Kohler. The 32(I don't think they make anymore) and 36 are B&S.

Ed,
I have had issues with both the lower unit and the motor itself.
Brett,
Hopefully if it a known issue I will be able to get back up and going soon.
TDK,
I am hard on my stuff but that is why I thought I bought a mud motor. I don't believe that I use the motor in a way that is different from other users. I know several and my use is comparable.
