Hunted this morning on some private land close to Franklin, TX. We SAW one limit of ducks. Three before shooting time. One a hundred yards away shortly after shooting time. And two were zipping by at 50 mph 70 yards in the air.

I hunted at this same place last year before Thanksgiving and smoked the ducks. This year, not so much.

It feels good to be back home. grin

I'll be ready. Just can't find shoveler decoys. Academy's sold out...

Don't need them. They'll land in what ever you throw out.

Hope so. After the hunt, I drove around the backroads and didn't see any birds on any of the tanks that normally hold ducks. Most of the tanks were very very low on water. Our pond that we hunted was extremely low. I just hope that rain comes with the fronts.
