rain coming and going...try to be there right before and right after the rain,as far as moon I would get out early in afternoon and no reason to sit in dark enless there is something like a doe near feeder to maybe draw them out at near dark...if rut hits they can move anytime!

Depends if it's storms or just a good soaking rain. I've had some of my best success in slow rains.

We saw strong evidence of pre-rut last week with the cold weather. Normally you can predict thanksgiving but the weather has a lot to do with it. Those rainy days can be great especially when it stops raining. Hunker down & wait, it always pays off for me. Use scent balms the nite before to send a message. Good luck

i used to hunt jacksboro and one thing i noticed is that the deer have so much in their favor you cant predict them. i would say hunt at least a little every day you are there. isnt that why you go? to hunt? if not sittin in a stand over an unproductive feeder, do some real slow, quiet walking. both times i killed there i was walking down the ranch road (once bored, once cold) and looked up and had a deer less than 100 yds away, checkin me out givin me a great shot. moon has a lot to do with it, but you cant let that ruin your wkend. if you arent willing to chance the moon, brave the rain, work to find the deer, then you either dont love it enough or arent worthy to defeat the deer at the sport.

go on and getcha some! good luck!

ps, the deer are def in jack county, just play your cards
