Hunted one of our spots in Garwood this morning and ended up with 5 ducks. Shot 6 but one wounded spoonie glided 300+ yds. into some waist high grass. Never found that bird, I hate that crap. Ended up with 3 spoons (represent!!!) and 2 drake pintails. None of these birds would fully commit, had to work them into range and had no choice but to take the shot. It paid off. I'm just glad to break my Sunday duck blues. First Sunday to shoot a duck this year. Here's a pic (sorry for the bloodbath on the pintails, but what can I say)

Nice! What the heck did ya shoot em with? Those pinners are bleeding like a stuck pig.

Heck of a good looking spot, too...

Those birds behind me are headed to a roost that's not even a mile south of the spot. They don't really even look at the spot I'm at in this picture. If you see the results I posted yesterday, thread title Finally, I got to hit that roost and the results show. It's crazy how just being on the X makes that much of a difference.

I shot these birds with the cheap 3" #3's Xperts 1550. It's not too hard to make drake pintails look bloody if they glide over your head at 30 yds. Their like little jets getting shot by anti aircraft gunners. I love those shots
