Shot this guy this morning. Never seen or heard of a banded crane.

Another nice surprise.

Crane is nice but that cinnamon is on the top of my list and has been for several years. Bad thing is there have been about 20 shot on hunts that I have been on and I have yet to connect with one.

Yeah my buddy has been looking for one for a while. He wasn't with us today and as soon as we killed it I knew he'd be mad. He was.

I've never really wanted to mount anything but if I shot a cinny I might have to change my mind. Congrats!

The first good looking Cinnamon I kill will be mounted, then I will start a quest for a full plume bluewing, and pick up a greenwing for a nice three bird strap mount. But not even going to consider the second two until I get the first.

I would have seriously considered mounting the crane too if it was banded.

WOW! The only banded Sandhill i've heard of being shot was from a game warden I used to hunt with as a kid that said one was shot over in Russia that was banded in the US. Nice job!

www.reportband.gov......fill out the info and it will tell you the information instantly...since it is an Avise band it is old..and you still get the paperwork sent to you. Had a guy hunting last year shoot a banded crane..Was banded in Kansas or Nebraska I think. Congrats, B

Just reported the band on the crane. It was banded in Nebraska on 3/10/2004. Pretty cool.

Yes sir. I'm wishing now that I hadn't cleaned the Cinnamon. Would have made a sweet mount. Next one will be on the wall for sure.
