Need recommendations for a Delta County processor and a Delta County taxidermist. If not Delta County, then someone who is on the route from Delta County to Dallas. Taxidermist needs to offer euro (skull) mounts and also offer full tanning w/ hair off (finished hide is just leather). Reasonable prices and quality workmanship are the most important thing for both processor and taxidermist.

Thanks in advance, folks!

WEK I don't know about the taxidermists up there but on the hide off tanning, there are only two tanneries in the nation doing this. We take hides in for hair off tanning to be shipped out and they cost the same as regular hide tanning. Turn a round time is much longer though. Don't know if any taixdermist up there provides that service or not.

Interesting. I had no idea that option was so limited. I have an affinity for it because my father did it with all of his deer for decades. Thanks!

WEK whatever you decide to do with the hide make sure you do not put salt on it. Roll it up hair outside and place in plastic bag and freeze. That hide can stay good like this for a year or longer as long it is bagged up tight with no air in it. We offer the leather in three colors: camel (buckskin color), saddle(yellowish), and mink (chocolate dark brown). We charge $125 for the tanning. We also do skull cleaning for $125. If interested give us a call. We have quite a few clients from up there who ship there stuff to us.
