So is offering to do it the same as doing it? I would totally donate a deer. Who you think they will be sending for me, just so i know who to look for while watching over my shoulder or looking in the mirror constantly.

I took a big hill country buck in a couple of years ago and specifically asked them to cut the backstraps and make the rest into sausage.

I got like 6 inches of backstrap from a 127 lb. carcass. I'll never use them again.

In your case, I bet the deer got burried behind some other meat in the freezer. It has happened to me before when I went to pick up my deer meat.

UPDATE: The processor called yesterday.. They found my deer.. banana2 .. They had rewrote the ticket for it and spelled my name wrong.. DOH.. Anyway.. I am happy to report all is well and I will be picking up my deer today. Again, I think this processor is one of the beset and have never had an issue.. I am glad they came through and found the deer.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. It's good to know that THF members have my back.. So to speak.. up
