I had bought a new Redfield scope from Cabelas a few months ago. It took a while for me to get it mounted and sighted in. When I finaly did get out to the range, it was shooting 5-6" groups at 100yds. Later we tried a diffirent scope on the rifle and go 1.5" groups.

We then went back to the Redfield and went back to 6" groups.

I took the scope back to Cabelas to ask for a store credit. They refused. Said it was past thier 60 day return policy on optics. I'm not too bothered about it, however, since I did not want my money back, you'd think they would have worked me on it. Now I know.

So now I'm out an additional $10 in shipping and have sent it back to Redfield. We'll see how they do.

Cabelas should have taken it back for store credit. At one time they had a lot friendlier policies.

Maybe you should shop elsewhere, or buy Leupold in the first place.

They have it now. I'll post later on what they do.

Ben, Forget the Cabella heads,Leupold and Redfield have always had a lifetime repair or replace policy.
Now that Leupold has bought Redfield I look for them to really improve the Redfield line.
Let them fix it for you.
They have fixed a leupold that my friend dropped the gun on concrete.
It came back brand new.

Noticed the same thing about Cabelas. I've started back to Bass Pro.

Basspro's pricing is better but they need to improve the reloading items they stock

Same thing happened to me w/ Leupold, dropped the gun, landed on the scope on concrete. It was obvious what had happened. Brand new scope returned, no questions. You buy it once, you have it a Lifetime. Worth a couple extra bucks. I just bought a Redfield (by Leupold) to and installed it on my 30-30. I really like it, shoots well. I hope the warranty works just as well as the Lpold products. I'll be interested to hear the outcome of you delima Ben.
