Steady dose of the gadwall in the Corsicana area. I don't understand why the mallards aren't all over this tank? It's got milfoil in the bottom and it's fairly shallow.

The reason there aren't Mallards all over that tank is because the majority of the Mallards are still in Canada.

You're lucky you're shooting gadwalls. All we've had is woodies and a couple highflying widgeons. Though had some reports of mallards in our area. So guess we'll see.. Ready for the weekend!! grin

100 yards will work! If your place is anywhere near Kerens, we need to swap hunts. I've got some places that have birds, but I'm always down to hunt a new place.

......so you're attention would be on the headlamp in daytime, and not on the coat and waders that don't fit.

I was around Corsicana for three mornings this past Fri-Sun. We got a mixed bag of Gadwals, Widgeon, Teal, and a couple rigers. We did not see any mallards yet.
