I went out with H&S Critter Getters in the Coleman area last Thursday night and ended the night with 2 foxes, 2 racoons, and a bobcat. Not a bad way to start off the hunting season! This is the 6th cat I have taken with Mike and Lloyd. Great guys who will put you on critters if you are looking for a guide.

Thanks guys!
m5ash--- I took 2 to the taxidermist last year, so I will just get the hide tanned on this one until I figure out what I want to do with it.

Is the call your using in the picture The Phantom Predator? If so, what sound where you using to call em in? I usually use the rabbit distress on mine. Nice kitty!

Brandon- Let me know when you want to go and I will get it booked. I need to make it right for the AR mag you sent me cheers

bwk- I believe that is a phantom predator. They mainly use mouth calls, but we did use the cottontail distress/cottontail cry. We have had alot of success on the fox fight and woodpecker too.

My name is Brandon too, i was like damn how did he know my name. Then realized you where talking to another brandon. Do yall have more success with the mouth calls? I'm not real good with them, so mainly go electronic. My go to call's are usually rabbit in distress, or baby pig distress.

We use motuh calls 90% of the time, but you cant go wrong with an electronic call either. Are you using a foxpro? or what type of call? Rabbit in distress works really well for us, but haven't tried the baby pig.

I have the phantom that i asked about. I have called in coyotes with the pig in distress. Used it after having shot some piglets and let them lye for bait. Called in the yotes a day or two after they feasted on the baby pigs. Have had the most success with rabbit in distress. I hunt coyotes and pigs mostly here on the place. Haven't seen any fox, and the bobcats don't really mess with the cattle. Just have a handful of deer showing their presence in the last couple of years, so haven't really worried about the fawns. Ranch i hunt on in south tx, we only shoot a cat if we are going to mount it. I like to call them in, but usually let them walk

Do you call out in Taylor? We layed some deer carcuses out and set up a game cam and got several yotes coming in to that. To this day I have never shot a pig. Hard to believe for some, I know, but just never had the opportunity. As far as the bobcats I take, I had 2 mounted, and....well.... now the girlfriend is wanting to make pillows out of the skins with the rest hammer

Yes, i live on just over 300 acres here. I have family that neighbors the property, so call on around 500-600 acres. It doesn't take long to call a place this small out, so i wait for perfect conditions. I would invite you out for a pig, but the last one i saw was back around april. We put a lot of pressure on them, so the evacuated for the time being. I regularly feed the coyotes about 120-140 yards from the house, but have been to lazy lately to get out and hunt them. Did you grow up in Dripping Springs? I went to liberty hill, and dripping springs was in our district for a while.
