Hey guys Im new to bow hunting, but have been rifle hunting all my life. I never would give bow hunting a chance But i think I finally am going to. I've shot a few bows but there are so many opinions. I want a nice, quality bow that I can start out with. any suggestions. Ive heard all the matthews, hoyt, diamond, etc.. fans.. just want to hear some of yalls opinions. My draw is around 27 and weight is around 70

My requirements are quite, light weight, and comfortable.
Go to a Pro Shop and shoot several different bows that will help make up your mind.

like he said go to a bow shop or 2 an try some different bows, Im a hoyt fan my self just got started on them an I like them. its pretty easy to tell a good one when u shot a couple. quite, light weight, with as little vibration in your hand as possible is what you want.

I love my Mathews Z-7. It's lite, quite, and fast. Haven't had it long. In hopes of my first bow kill Thanksgiving.
It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

use to be single cam vs harshness of the dual cam
That has changed a lot over the years.
What you usually get between the two
Dual Binary type cam, more speed, rock soild back wall
Single cam... less speed, but less harsh draw cycle and softer back wall.
The new cam systems have come along way.
I prefer the solid backwall fo the dual binary type cams..really comes down to personal taste. Lots of good bows by good comanies out ther

My wife shoots a Martin Jaguar. I don't remember what it cost but I don't think it was too much and it's a great bow.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

This post could go on foreveeer - I shoot a bowtech, but if money wasn't an issue I would probably try out a Matthews.

as stated i would shoot several, but i wouldn't break the bank on my first bow until you shoot for a while learn your likes and dislikes and then you can upgrade.
