Ok I have a Savage 223 bolt gun and every once in a while I shoot a steel case out of it. Never had any problems out of them before. But this time one got stuck in the chamber after I fired it. Can anyone tell me how to get it out? Bolt opened but the ejector didnt break. I dont want to run the bolt and break it. Can anyone tell me the best way to get it out? Any help would be greatly apprieciated. TIP to self DONT USE STEEL CASE ANYMORE!

Can you run a cleaning rod in the end and knock it out?

had the same thing happen with my .308 and I just used a cleaning rod and tapped it lightly with a hammer and it came out.
Then I never used steel case ammo again.

Brownells carries a Ruptured Shell Extractor. They usually cost $10 to $20. I've had to use them several times when I have reloaded a piece of brass once too often.
