Which ones do you guys prefer? I have been using a 4D maglite for years. I'm looking at getting something brighter.

stinger , if you have a regular stinger they make an led conversion for it also , I got my led stinger out and the officers and fire fighters wanted to know where to get one they said they had never seen anything that bright that small , then when they played with it for hours and still had a charge they were in love

curtis, check this place out, I buy all mine from here, good prices. It takes a while on getting it, but worth it.

I have four of these. My friends think they are killer and many people copy cat them from China.

This is a C3-907 with 170 lumens output. It runs on ONE AA battery. No CR123's -- 1 AA battery. Life is good, quality is good, and if you buy from this guy (I'm not affiliated with him), he services them in the USA. He's the only official importer. There are knock-offs on many sites (including DealExtreme.)

$25 - You get a comparable $150 flashlight from the "big brands."

As alternatives, look at Fenix Flashlights. They are 1/2 the price of Surefire equivalents.

I have 3 streamlights that are rechargable. Strion, Stinger DS, Stinger HD. The spot on the HD is equivalent to a spotlight and very tight. Full lifetime warranty's and good CS. The strion's are very small and very bright, almost as good as the stinger. Im interested in looking at the strion HD.
All these lights are about $100. Very well built. Brightguy.com has a easy website to look at. I use these daily at work.

The Coast P7 is small and gets great reviews for about 60. Runs off aa's. I want to try one of these as well.

I would stay away from cr123 batteries.

I have 3 dealextreme lights. the website is a whip, but the lights are pretty dang bright and a little cheaper. You have to read thru a bunch of reviews to see whats what. Fit and finish and switch quality arent as good as the stremlights etc.

Olight flashlights.....very bright and longest runtimes. I have the triton on my AR and it is plenty bright. They make the brightest rechargeable led lights in the business. Check out their intimidator line I have one and it is ridiculous!

It's my fancy sauce! For me!

Hardly anyone knows about the Bushnell HD but look at it. It has 120 lums and has a square beam with 100% brightness. It is cool like looking at movie screen. Look at it on their website.
They are not known for flashlights because this about all they have but it's very bright and lights about 60% more area.

I love mine, but HATE replacing the dang batteries every hour!

I got one of the surefire clones modified by black bear 84 on here and sold in the classifieds. 300 lumens, 2 hour run time, and rechargeable battery, comes with the charger!

I want to find out more about these lights.

I really like Fenix lights. Pretty affordable, they come in AA models, and brighter than any of my Surefires.

X1 - I am a flashlight-aholic person. Please take a look at these as you will be amazed. They claim 900 lumens (these are bulb lumens) but these things are incredible. Outside of these take a look on Ebay/YouTube for HID flashlights.

Best I have used so far is: http://www.ledlenserusa.com/product_info.php?modelNum=8407

I also have a Stinger, Surefire and several cheaper lights.

Love the size, weight and ability to go spot to flood, and AAA batteries. Much brighter than my 6Dcell Maglight easier to carry, but not as good for use as a club smile

Any of the LifeGear lights work great and are cheaper than anything I've found. Got lots of surefires, fenixes, streamlight, etc but trust me, these are better and cheaper.

Sorry about the link! Just go to Costco.com and search "flashlight".

Can't beat the Stinger or Strion, G2 police supply in Dallas has a deal going, buy any of the two listed lights and get a Streamlight ( not sure what model) for free, a $37 dollar value

I have a surefire E2D LED Defender...cost $145, but I like it better than any other flashlight I've owned...including an O-light, and a stinger. It states 200 lumens, and I have to believe it because it buries both the O-light and the stinger in brightness, and has fewer artifacts...

I just got a light as a gift from a friend, he picked up a 2 pack of 200 lumen (stated brightness) "Rocky" led lamps at Sams this past week. They have three settings..100 lumens, 200 lumens and strobe, powered by 6 AAA batteries. So far, I like it. 100 yard brightness is really good, bright enough to see with a scope clearly. He says he paid 39.95 for the set, sounds like a deal to me.

The big LED Maglite with 2 D cells is incredible! I swear I thought I had a spotlite. It ain't little but it could double as a good weapon!
