I need some advice. I have total of 140acres...70 at two locations. Want to begin planting crops.
Can I still plant wheat this year? If so..what do I need? I have a John Deere 790 tractor.
If I can't plant wheat now what should I begin or prepare to do?
If I plant wheat in these fields now can I plant cotton or corn in the spring?
I am a rookie at this but have a lot of desire and interest. Please advice....thanks

Not knowing your location my suggestion would be getting with your local county agent and tell him your objectives and he will advise you on what has been working best in that region

County agent or FSA office will help you out.

Wheat if done quickly. It would not be really ready for harvest (hay or combine) to get a corn crop in the spring time but once harvest was complete turn the stublle over and plant some Hay Graizer. This all depends on how mother nature treats you.

First thing I would do is get a soil test.
