Ok so this weekend is going to be cold and nasty, Im thinking maybe about rattling tom. morning and also putting out soem doe pee. Does anyone think this might be to early? It seems like the right time. any suggestions??

depends on where your hunting. i don't use any cover scents, doe pee, etc. just me and a good pair of horns rattled this one up a few years ago:
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

thats a very nice deer! Im hunting in montague. Ive heard from all the pros on TV that overcast and nasty cold weather is a great time to do it. I figure maybe this front will kick the does in heat.

that deer was taken when it was 40 degrees and misty.
we were set up less than 10 min when he came outta the brush, eyes wide and blowing snot

they were coming to rattling good this last week at matador wma. we rattled in 4-5 and i shot a nice 10pt. good luck.

BBurton, I talked to the owner of the Bowie Meat Locker last weekend. He told me that he had rattled in a lot of bucks on Saturday and, due to the huge acorn drop, rattling is the only way you are likely to see many deer.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
