Typically people call bucks culls that they think doesn't possess the genetics to make them grow into their definition of a trophy.

Example - A 5 or 6 year old buck that only has 8 points. Or a mature buck that doesn't have eye guards.

I have some bucks that I consider culls. They are 4, 6, and 8 points that will probably never be 13 inches wide. However, they are protected.

AR's just really got started in Montague County. We'll see in a couple of years.

What you CAN tell about a spike is that the majority of them wont ever reach the size of their fork antlered cousins.
