Dropped a large boar last night. Went to the lease to get the new trailer situated (yes, I know opening weekend, couldn't be helped...) Managed to get everything finished in time to get on the stand for an evening hunt. Really hoping my son gets a nice deer this year, the only thing I would have pulled the trigger on is a pig. About 6:00 this big boy walked out:   Sorry for the terrible cell phone pics, only camera we had. Dropped him w/ my Ruger Hawkeye in 338 Fed w/ 180grn accupoint. Double lung & heart right behind the left front shoulder. Bullet shot through, came out the other side. Pig ran about 60 yards and went down. David

I was able to get a better picture this morning as well as a weight - 229 pounds!  David

good coyote bait...I killed a big boar last year too heavy for me to drag out from the feeder..next day when the feeder went off, pigs came out of everywhere with the dead boar still there, didnt bother them in the least, they probably ate corn off his carcass...
