My son took pictures of these two young deer on November 9. One still had spots! How can that be? It's November!!! Anyway, I liked the pictures.

Must have been late comers. Definitely very small for this time of year.

Great pictures though.

Yep, I was shocked at just how small some of the little ones were that I saw on opening weekend at our lease. Some with spots on our place too. We are in Brady.

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Last year's drought has really messed up the cycle on a lot of animals including the deer. Many does aborted fetuses or lost the babies due to the hard conditions. That threw their cycle out of whack. We have seen many babies with spots late into October this year. Even our cows are totally out of sync this year so I would say the same goes for the wildlife.

Those little ones are absolutely adorable.

It is just a joke. There is no one on here that would do that.

Sadly, probably are some folks, but those folks would be ridiculed by everyone and would likely be kicked off any lease for doing it. Also, I don't personally know anyone that would shoot a doe that had a young one with her.

Here's a quote from you (per Google, apologies if inaccurate):

Theres no rational basis for saying that a human being has special rights. A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. Theyre all animals."

If a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy, and you'll obviously admit that most dogs and pigs would happily eat a deer, why would you expect different behaviour from a boy?

Even when you don't see a shooter, watching these little ones is entertaining. I notice kids act like kids, whether they be critters or people.
