I would like to know if someone could recommend a reasonable spotting scope for 800 yards? I am not shooting that distance at this time, but i am having a hard time seeing the target at 400 yards!

What calibers are you shooting at 400?

Someone correct me but I believe that even high dollar spotting scopes have problems at distance spotting hits on paper.

I use reflective targets even at shorter ranges to help spot.

Also, most long distance shooters use steel plates or drive down to spot hits.

Again, someone correct me or add detail.
