So what do you pull??? I use to pull 65lbs but after my neck surgery I can't pull that right now. So I dropped to 50lbs and can pull it ok.

Now my max shot has gone from 40 yards to 30 yards because of the speed I lost. Hopefully I will be able to get back to 65lbs soon.

My dad kills deer at 20 yards with 50 so I would think it might be pushing the 30 yard if you have a jumpy deer. But I think it will work

I shoot 60 pounds

Currently 65 pounds but as the years go by my old bad shoulders are having more difficutly... may be decreasing soon but 50 pounds is plenty. Shot placement is key regardless of poundage.

Someone needs to sneak over and disconnect the spark plug on your chainsaw. You'll be back to 65 lbs before you know it!

Thank you dear Lord for equipping me with incisors.

I shoot 64 lbs with a 28.5 inch draw. My question is with no draw weight restriction here in Texas what is the minimal draw weight you would let a youth use on a deer ?

That's hard to tell, I would think it depends more on the youths ability to place an arrow in the kill zone. I would be comfortable with 35 pounds with a arrow on the heavy side of FOC around 17-19% for penetration.

I am shooting a Bowtech 82nd Airborne with a 29.5 inch draw length.
I was shooting 320 fps with 400s.
I am now shooting 305 fps with 340s.
Since I switched spines and now I am shooting bullet holes through paper.
grin
