Just got back from a full weekend of goose and duck hunting. I was shocked at the number of geese already down from the north. Had a complete morning limit of specks and canadas for 8 guys by 10:00. The only problem were the number of specks. Had to shoot around them to get the canadas. This season has had huge numbers of geese so early in the season. Tons of geese and they decoyed well.

The ducks were there as well. Saw a ton of blue and green wing teal, shovelers and actually got to take a green head to boot. Got limits on ducks as well. Still need to see a couple of real cold pushes to get the big ducks down. Who ever is heading over there will have a good time.
Make sure your license, stamp, shells and plugs are all straight. Game Wardens were nice enough, but were checking EVERYONE and issuing tickets. There are no excuses for those kind of tickets. Just an FYI. Have a great time if you go.

Hunted with Stanfield's this morning killed a limit of ducks by 8 am. 4 guys 24 birds a mixture of gadwalls, widgeons and teal. Going goose hunting with them tomorrow I cannot wait.
