I-20 is going to be PACKED !!

Leaving tomorrow after school, the wife and I will still be bow hunting and the boy will be after a doe with his rifle.

Deer stand is only about 300 yards from the shop. But I've been staring down my path to the stand for the past two weeks and chomping at the bits to go.

Our lease is in Harper, I wont be coming in until saturday morning from waco.....early!

I still won't miss a hunt. However, I think it may buy me another one down the road. I'll just be really really tired on Saturday.

Heading out first thing in the morning. Kiss the wife goodbye, make sure she is up for work, then tell her not to call me for 3 days. Then off to pick up one of the guys, then good ol' I45

Leaving early Friday morning. Would already be there except have to cook for Lions Club free pancake supper tonight.

Heading out early in the morning. Headed to Graham from the Metromess. Plan on going 114 to 170, slip behind Cabelas, take the first left off the access road, cut over to 287 then up to Rhome and back onto 114 just to try to avoid the Texas Motor Speedway mess.

Heading out after lunch on Friday. Should be in my bow stand by 4 pm.

Where I hunt is about 6 to 7 miles in all even after I walk from truck to blind so I will go Sat at about 6 am then back home for coffee and I HOPE TO POST PICS!!! then back out that afternoon

Headed to the lease at 8am after a brief stop by Wally World, lol!!! Got a few loose ends to take care of at the lease then sighting in my rifle, eating steak tonight and playing cards tonight (Spades)!!!

Working 'til 1:00pm today and then heading out!!! All loaded and ready to go!!

Be careful for those heading out. If any are passing through Coleman, hit the grocery store (Shoppin' Basket) my dad is selling raffle tickets for a rifle. There is a thread in the Disabled section about it.

There is also a Deer Hunters Fest this evening starting at 6 with a BBQ dinner. Good raffles there also. Im going to buy some tickets for a FULL size of beef. Cool thing about that is IF you get both tickets drawn, you get the ENTIRE COW !!!!!

Be sure to stop by Saras Place (Cool_Hands on the north side of town, Fina station behind) for some good food !

For those traveling HWY 206 north of Cross Plains, stop at scruboaks BBQ stand for some good grub to take to the lease!!
