Longest weekend of the year happens to be opening weekend of deer season this year.

Daylight savings time ends Sunday at 2am so don't forget to change you clocks and alarms.

A couple of the old-timers on our lease do the same. They never change the clocks on their feeders. They say "Hell, the deer don't know about daylight savings time". grin

They say their clocks are always set to "Deer Time." up

Why even change the time. I think it's stupid. It gives us less time in the evenings to hunt, and I can't stand it getting dark at five freakin o'clock. When the time changes, I no longer have time to go hunting after work in the evenings. The only state that I'm aware of which doesn't ever change time is Arizona. I wish we would all get on that boat. Damn you Ben Franklin for introducing this. It's time for a change.

Me too. dont have to worry about doing any math as far as waking up getting to the stand etc.

My 9 year old killed his second deer ever last sunday at about 8:00. So this sunday 8:00 will really be 7:00 right.
The deer on my place seem to move the most between 7 and 9ish sooooo that means the best times sunday will be 6 and 8 ish. Nevermind I'm not changing any time piece till Sunday night.

We plan on staying in the blinds all day Saturday and into the early afternoon Sunday.

It ain't easy being me.

This is why I read and participate on this forum. Great info. I didn't think it through that way. I could have have don't without the watch comment but only because I'm embarrassed I didn't think of that. blush

The deer on my place carry one of those smart phones so they don't need a watch either.

have had many arguments over the years with a couple guys on our old lease. Every year they would work out a plan to change their feeder times. They would change the clock on their feeder, but not change the time the feeder was set to go off. Then said it would go off at the same time as before. And these were the 2 guys on the lease that didn't drink.

Confused, what do you change on the timer then? The Clock or the feed times?

I completely forgot about time change and I'm not going to be able to hunt till Monday.
