I was wondering if anyone shoots the new pse bows. I am looking at the pse bow madness xs. I shot one today and thought it shot good and felt good. my question is how do they hold up and just yalls general opinion about pse. I shoot a bow tech now and it shoots great just ready for something new I guess.

I almost got the Bow Madnes... I just did not like the thin handle... I know it is great for less torqie but I just didn't like the feel...I'm sure it is a great bow... PSE has a quality product...if it feels good to you go for it...

I started with an old Nova a couple weeks later got a heck of a deal on a bowmadness XS. It was a nice shooting very smooth bow that was incredibly compact. I'm pretty sure I could have drawn it while sitting in my truck and taken a shot out the window. The downside for me was the short ATA wasn't working for me as a novice shooter past 30 yards.

Trying to do the 3D thing on the side just meant that I had the wrong bow setup for the job.

I went out and bought an 08 Dream Season 7" brace 33" ATA instantly my groups were cut in about half and I was getting respectable groups at 50-60 yards. It still had an 340 IBO so it was plenty fast. With I would have kept it as my 3D bow but I couldn't at the time justify a second bow.

Found a deal I just couldn't pass up on a '10 omen. Only shooting it at 60lbs but its putting up nice numbers and isn't nearly as harsh as it was to me a couple weeks ago. I have been shooting alot more but my groups are comparable to the dream season and better especially closer than the dream season. This could be more due to more arrow time but even with the short brace height I can at least hang with the 3D folks.

Don't spend more than $350 on a BM XS unless it is loaded or you are getting ripped off. Get on archery talk and you can find them almost giving them away. I got mine off that sight for $340 new which is the main reason I've stayed in the PSE line. The resale is horrible so don't even consider paying full price for a PSE or your bow will drop about 50% when you get it home.

I have only had a bow for a year now so my opinion can't be all that but I have had number of bows to compare and thats what I can tell you about the PSE.

If it's your first bow I would highly suggest the brute. Its a little longer ATA much longer Brace and would be a sweet shooting only slightly slower but much more forgiving than the BM XS

I shoot the stinger (my first bow) and I have had no problems with it so far. Its a sweet shooting bow and very compact. I'm actually looking at getting a new bow for next season and I've been looking at the Omen. Get on ebay because there are some killer deals on there. I got my stinger fully loaded, 12 arrows, broadheads, quiver, etc for 350 last year. Took it out of the box, sighted it in a and killed my first deer the very next day! I have no complaints.

Only warning I will say is with the omen, if you shooting too much weight the omen will let you know. The draw is harsh as it maintains its peak weight all the way to let off. Also some complain that it will rip your shoulder out on let down. I've got mine turned way down and don't notice it much but if you have to work very hard to get your stinger at its current weight the omen might be a pretty big shock.

Haha.... I had a bow madness last year and got read of it fast. I didn't like the grip, the string frayed within 2 months after I bought it and I had waxed it 2wice already, I mean it shoots nice they do make good bows but there much better ones out there.

I own a bow madness xs and if us prdonally the best bow I've ever owned. I hunt in thick cover/trees so I enjoy how small the now is. It is extremely quiet and shoots well. I compared the specs other bows in it's price range and made my decision to buy based on them. I've owned it for a year already and still have no complaints. It's helped me take three pigs a doe and countless coons from my tree stand

Bows and guns are just like women, everybody likes something different. A lot of the guys I work with have Mathews bows, I tried one and thought it was heavy and clumsy. I now shoot a PSE Madness and havent had a problem. Shot a doe two weeks ago and she never knew what hit her. Also, didn't have any trouble finding her. Buy what you like and dont listen to any one.

Thanks for the input guys. I may stick with the set up I have now. It's bowtech justic thats about 4 years old now. The only reason I'm considering getting a new one is because Ive shot this one for a long time now, but it's hard to get ride of somehting that aint broke. The PSE seemed like a pretty good bow for the money but I just don't know if I give up the bowtech. but thanks again for all yalls input and thoughts on the bow madness.

I have an x force GX 6 which is the two year old version of the Omen before it was the omen (with .5" more BH). I love my bow so much I can't imagine giving it up. I can't imagine how PSE could improve much on their bows but apparently they have this year with the Omen Pro and the Evo.

Shoot a new PSE speed bow before you make up your mind. They are awesome.

stick with what you like and you can afford. im not perfect but a well placed shot with a "cheap" bow is just the same as a pricey bow.

love my '10 OMEN...I like that it will "go" on you as you start to let down. I like holding hard into the back wall so it works for me. I also don't think it's as "harsh" as some say but I am not pulling a 70lber(60 for me) either...it may be at 70.

Ive shot them all, really liked a few of the PSEs I had and I wish I still had one of them. But I too shoot a BowTech and they are great boys. Im shooting an 07 Allegiance and love it and doubt Ill be changing anytime soon unless something happens to my bow! I say try as many as you can, buy and trade them if you must on Archery Talk or something and stick to the one that feels the best. I also like some of the older Matthews alot too. I am no speed freak, I just love a quiet bow that hits them hard.
