I'm planning on setting up a pop-up ground blind and leaving it through January. It has no floor to it. Should I be concerned about snakes taking up residence in it or other critters? How can I keep them out? Would a solid air freshener work? Advice appreciated.

I wouldn't put any fragrances in the blind, at all. Just make sure you give it a little shake or two - and look inside with a flashlight - before getting in. I've used lots of ground blinds without floors and never had any snakes or coons in them. I've left them set-up for months at a time. The only problem I had was with a few black widows.

I found a rattler in mine this weekend! Also had rats eat a hole in my folding stool.

Snakes are headed to their dens, so IMO no snakes. But I would always check real good.

You may have more of a problem with rats or mice chewing up the sides of the blind than snakes. At least that's our biggest problem. I have however found, squirrels, mice, rats, birds and their nest, snakes, wasp nests, and rabbits at some point in my pop up blind since I have used them over the years.
