I won't be able to, but I will have visions of snow and big mule deer bucks.

Yep, I'll be out there with my 12yo boy. He's already taken a few nice bucks, and this year our place got with the MLD program so we've already got a head start with a few doesand pigs. We are excited none the less. Hoping to put another doe or a 6pt cull I spotted into the cooler.

Good luck everyone!

Edit* I'm going to post my question in another thread specifically pertaining to different Early Youth Weekend laws. It's slightly more relevent.

You can visit it here: http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...30_#Post1783674

Bow hunters can hunt, but kids either 16 and under or under sixteen cam hunt with rifle w/exception being no muledeer if u hunt where muledeer are located. I am sure someone will know if it is 16 and under or under 16

I can only hope to be so lucky. My wife keeps telling me that we are likely to have a kid who hates hunting and would rather go to dance classes.

What a nightmare that would be. Have to miss hunting to go to dance recitals.... Yuck!

Good luck to all the youths, I can remember not too long ago getting to youth hunt. I know it means a lot to your children, at least I know it did to me when I was a kid.

Also wanted to give kudos to all the parents who are taking their kids out in the woods in the first place. So many parents these days would rather let their kids sit at home on video games so they don't have to deal with them. You all are the exception to that rule. When I have my own kid I can't wait to take part in the youth hunting as a mentor.

rifle deer2

up, you guys are awesome!
