Anybody got any or know of anyone who does(retail or private)?

I'll buy all of it you got. Hoping to find a gun shop with a case of it laying about.

Apparently Hornady stopped making this particular load in favor of the new Superformance line. My rifle loves this stuff and shoots 1/2 MOA's with it. I'm down to my last box and half. I can't find anywhere so if you have a lead on some give me a shout.

Thanks.

I'd suggest giving the superformance a chance. It's supposed to be a more stable powder explosion than the Light Magnums.

I'll probably have no other choice. Like I mentioned previously, my rifle loves the Light Mag. ammo. My attitude is, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Those Light Mag's have been solid performers for me for the better part of the last decade. This is the kind of change that I don't adjust to very well.

If I had the time I'd reload.

FWIW, the Superformance 140gr load is the SST, not the Interlock. If you are happy with the terminal performance of the 140gr Interlock, the SST may be a little too explosive for your tastes.

Hornady does still make the 140gr Interlock in their Custom line. slighly less velocity, but still the same bullet.

That interlock bullet knocks some fist sized exit holes out of some of the animals I've shot. I don't know that I'd want anything more explosive. There wouldn't be much left of a hill country deer.

I think there's a good chance your accuracy will stay the same even though the bullet may be other than the interbond. Usually your gun will like a particular size instead of style of bullet.

I doubt any of us could reload a round to be as hot as the hornady products and keep the pressures to a safe level. I am going to try the Superformance 140 gr. SST loads. The 140 gr, SST bullet has a Ballistic Coeficcient of .525 according to the Hornady website. That is the highest BC I have found for any .277 projectile. It is the ONLY .270 factory round that retains over 2000 foot lbs of energy at 300 yds. the point of impact is virtually the same as the 130 grain even though the 130's start off at 3200 fps.The 140's muz vel. @ 3090. That high BC of the 140 keeps it up and going. According to the ballistic calculator, (probably a 24" barrel...which my .270 is also) a 140 gr, Superformance, sighted in a 250 yds is +2.2 @100yds. and -3.1 @ 300yds. THAT IS FLAT!!!! You at least have a 6" zone all the way out to 300 yds. Plenty of room for error.

Yeah, I went ahead and order the Superformance 140g SST's. I'll finish the old box of Light Mags and then re-zero with the new stuff.
