Do you eat them? If so how do you prepare them?

I hunt coons and a few bobcats with my hounds. It is a great year round hunting opportunity and the ranchers love me for it.
Adios,
Gary

Did for many years, but no longer own hounds and my closer hunting grounds eventually grew houses. I used to hunt three nights a week back in the day. Several Walkers, but I did have one Redbone.
I do miss it.

I hunt coons along with squirrels in louisiana when I get to go back every so often. Pretty good if you leave a small one in the crock pot with some taters and carrots. I still prefer mine fried and covered in gravy.

I am not a lake namer, and I love shootin' spoonies.

If you or have anyone that you know would eat coon meat let me know. Im gonna run my traps in Dec and Jan and I get quite a few raccoons. If you could use the meat i'll Quarter it and give it to you frozen. I hate to see it go to waste, especially if someone could make a meal out of it.

I go about three nights a week. I hunt walker dogs but the only place I have to hunt is the SHNF.

Man, that's how we made beer money in high school... market for furs went to pot and that was that. Fun, fun, fun, though.

I hate coons! I have a feeder set up outside of my vineyard and shoot them at night with lights.

i dont eat coons myself but there are folks that do. we tree them and leave them up, unless the land owner wants them killed because they messing something up or if we are messing with some young dogs we will knock one out. every coon you kill is one you cant tree again.

i am located near Harwood Tx. i am about half way between Houston and San Antonio. our hunting places have grown smaller too. a person from the city buys an acre to 5 acres and think they own 5,000 acres and have a fit if your dog cross's it. we have mostly blueticks right now but i have hunted walkers black an tans red bones just about any breed of hound cept a plot. i been thinkin about gettin me some stephen curs but most are a good piece from where i am located.
