Just wondering where they go and what they do. Bed up? How can a bunch of pigs stay so hidden and quite during the day? Where do they like to hide?

I'm thinking anywhere thick or even open fields with tall grass etc. Dunno just seems like I would see more in the day than I do just scouting around. I see everything else etc. Always jump a deer or two. I figure there are as many pigs as deer where I hunt.

It ain't easy being me.

have a hog tube on a small track of land near Tyler; it's set up on a heavily wooded road. I went to fill it on Sun. about 12:00 noon and there were 3 hogs on it. No gun of course.

The most hogs I've ever seen in a single day was at our deer lease about a year ago before the season. We went there in the middle of the day to bring our camper and ended up seeing two big groups of hogs that got within 50yds of the truck. No Gun with us bang

When its cold - young pine plantations! The needles give them some kind of insulation for their beds I think! And young plantations are always thick! The closer these plantations are to creek bottoms, the better.

Heat is the main reason you don't see alot of hogs in the daytime.

Wait till some cold weather/winter sets in, you'll see alot more in the daytime then than in the warmer months.

You'll know when you've walked into 'em in tall grass. When the grass starts waving every which way on a windless day. That's when you pray they aren't running in your direction.

Exactly why my gun comes out of the case and is ready to go every time we get to the gate. I does not matter if is hunting season or just a work weekend.

i never put my gun in the case....stays in the front or back seat all day... never know if ur gonna see a group of pigs the second u pull up to ur gate... or while driving along the road by ur property. All u gotta do is stop and jump the fence. but if u had to get ur gun out, itd be too late.

The ranch I hunt on is split in to thirds amongst 3 brothers. We hunt on 2 thirds. I do not want to tick off the other brother. Never see hogs up by the gate.
