I’m on the hunt for a bow and had a chance to take a preliminary look at the 2011 Hoyt Carbon Element this weekend. At first glance it was very impressive but I then I didn’t shoot it as it wasn’t set up yet; plus it wasn’t a left hand model.
Also the dealer couldn’t give me a firm price when I saw it because they said it wasn’t officially released. That may have been true when I saw in on Saturday but I see that Hoyt has it on their website now. Does anyone know for sure what the price will be?
Also does anyone have any thoughts on this bow, good or bad?
Thanks,
Blue Moon

I've shot the Z7 and it wasn't for me. I liked the DXT better but I like two cam bows better than single cams.

I dont understand this whole Carbon thing anyway. They say its very light, well how many of us really carry our bow far enough that weight is a issue? I have been taught you need some weight for stability. If the above 2 statements are true then what is the advantage of the carbon bow? Im asking questions here not making a statement.

I don't like the really lite bows. Yea it's good if you have to carry it a long ways but they are harder to hold steady when you shoot. I'd rather carry the heavier one than shoot a light one.

Hoyt bows tend to be heavier than most due to their riser design and I think that they are doing it for the people that think they need a lighter bow.
