For the GWs - Does Taking a Buck on a TPWD Drawn Hunt Increase the Number of Bucks a Hunter Can Take?

The reason I ask is that I just received my permit for a GDE hunt and the information indicates that if I shoot a buck during the hunt, not to use a tag from my license, but, instead, the hunt area will issue a tag.
The hunt area is in a 1 buck county and I may have access to other property in the same county. So, basically, if I shoot a buck during the TPWD draw hunt, can I still shoot another buck on private property in the same "1 Buck" county?
Thanks!

"Hunters drawn in the special permit hunts are not required to use a tag off their hunting license on white-tailed or mule deer that are taken during the hunt. The hunters will be issued a free TPWD legal deer tag at the area when they bring their harvested animal to the check station. This will allow the public hunters additional opportunity to use their license tags." http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/newsmedia/releases/?req=20100728b

Thanks Sniper. Still not sure if that means that a hunter could potentially shoot 2 bucks in a 1 buck county.

Great point. There is no need to waste a tag from your license when using a TPWD permit. You can use the permit, and in addition, use your license tags for the full bag limit for that county.

Yes, that is my understanding. I tried to see if I could find a reference to post and saw this related to log on the back of your license. Completion of the log is not required for mule deer, or for white-tailed deer lawfully taken under a MLD permit, LAMPS permit, TPWD Special Drawn Public Hunt permit, U.S. Forest Service antlerless permit, or on a Big Time Texas Hunt. But it opened up a question for me. I see it says U.S. Forest Service antlerless permit . I actually have one of these permits this year. Nothing is said in the letter it came with about not also using the tag on my license. But the way the regulation on the log reads, I am wondering if it only has to be tagged with the US Forest Service Tag?????
