I hadn't scouted like I usually do but an "old stand by" spot came through for us. My friend filled his disabled tag with a cow and I took this bull about midday. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the wife a shot before its over. It'll be a day or two though because we've got some serious packing to do in very nasty country.

Which part of Oregon are you hunting? Lived out in Oregon for about 8 years. Small town about 60 miles east of Eugene.

Hey Mongo, I live in Sweet Home. What town were you in thats 60 east of Eugene? Were you over the hill or still on the wet side? That was a pack and a half but I had some good helpers. My daughter and my friends sons worked their tail off. We were about a half mile straight down some of the nastiest country around.(cliffs and shale) Then it was another 1/3 of a mile sidehill on the same country but then we hit an old cat road that was another half mile to the truck. One trip out took 3.5 hours.

I took that pic about halfway down from the top. The bull was in the bottom to the right.

Hope you have a mule or a 4 wheeler. LOL, the only way a four wheeler would get down there is if it rolled. Even pack horses are out of the question up there. The only way to get them out is on your back with blood sweat and tears and I do mean a lot of tears. lol
