thanks, i just couldn't guess the age, it always tougher for me to age them that time of year.
i don't think i'd be able to pass on him if i see him this year. i didn't see him during bow season, and i woulda popped him if he stepped out.

I'd say 4.5 and he would be hard to take a pass on, but if he makes next year he'd be really, really nice.

Thats a Hill Country deer, im betting he is older than most of you think, im going to say he's 5.5, i'd send one through the boiler room.

3.5 hard to tell cause he's so fat ha thats because when they get old they get a pot belly like your grandpa. That deer has all the tales of an older deer, pot belly proprtional leg to body length, a sagging front brisket. Id say 4.5 minimum to 5.5

Put him down, that is a good deer. How long have you been watching him? If this is the first year you have seen him, .....

I agree that he is older than most think. And agree the pot belly is one of the signs that a buck is mature. He is at least 4 1/2 and most likely 5 1/2.

I think you should take him before your neighbor does, or a car does, or whatever else could !
