Great looking deer there! Doesn't look all that young to me though. I love the split 2's

thanks, i just couldn't guess the age, it always tougher for me to age them that time of year.

i don't think i'd be able to pass on him if i see him this year. i didn't see him during bow season, and i woulda popped him if he stepped out.

I'd say 4.5 and he would be hard to take a pass on, but if he makes next year he'd be really, really nice.

Thats a Hill Country deer, im betting he is older than most of you think, im going to say he's 5.5, i'd send one through the boiler room.

ha thats because when they get old they get a pot belly like your grandpa. That deer has all the tales of an older deer, pot belly proprtional leg to body length, a sagging front brisket.

Id say 4.5 minimum to 5.5

I agree that he is older than most think. And agree the pot belly is one of the signs that a buck is mature. He is at least 4 1/2 and most likely 5 1/2.

I think you should take him before your neighbor does, or a car does, or whatever else could !
