I don't hunt there but have seen some deer north of Abilene, basically southern Jones county. I have see deer around Ft Phantom lake, there are also a lot of turkeys in the area. Not what I would call monsters, but a few that are decent sized. Seems to be better ones more to the northeast than the southern part of Jones county.

Not sure north of Sweetwater, but the hills south of Sweetwater have a few nice ones. Not everywhere but a few, and a lot better than it was 30 years ago. And in some areas there are some really good ones.

yeah man ive seen pics of some giants but weve only seen medium sized on our farm. Gointo check the cams this weekend though.

I hunt around in Jones (and live) and the deer are there. Don't expect to see any monsters every time you go out. But thar be deer thur. =)
