I'm hunting thursday most likely south of town (Dilley or Castroville). How did the front effect the birds? Anyone seeing good #'s? Thanks, WLR

Hitting the fields around SA on Tuesday. Birds starting to pile up? It's cooling down in Dallas and I figure some birds are already moving south. Anyone hunt around SA this weekend?

Hunted just north of SA on Saturday and didn't see a single bird in the sky.

My hunting fields in Rosenberg are a bit slow. Still waiting on those northern birds. Been staying away from them due to the pressure on opening weekend. One other field is good went out yesterday (Me and the kids) shot close to a box within an two hour period. Birds started flying about 6:20 pm out to roost but just out of range.

My brother's telephone call came in this weekend and states "there are plenty of mourning dove with a few white-wings" So my hunter's focus and recommendation will be on a freshly harvested corn field in Kyote, Texas on Hwy 173 (650 acres)

West of San Antonio is always a good spot to be.

Been limiting out and seeing decent #'s out around Bigfoot, Dilley and Pearsall, should get better once they start cutting and harvesting the peanuts and Milo out there in the next week or so!!!!
