I will have to say I have never been this prepared for deer season before. I suppose I should give a breakdown for where I am hunting. 100 acre almost all woods plot. Its family owned and not too far from my house. Its mostly pastures all around it. In the past I have seen more deer tracks than this year. I have been working the property a bit more this year. I have put up my first feeder on this property as well as a trail camera. they are all in an open area, less than 60X100 yards or so. There are 5 trails that converge at this point....only one doe on the camera so far...just racoons so far. Any answers as to what to do?

I'd move the trail camera onto one of the trails about 50 yards off one of the pastures, assuming the trails go all the way from your property lines to the feeder.

Acorns. Until the acorns are eat up or spoil (as dry as it is that may be a while) the deer are not dependent on/looking for the corn from your feeder. May try dumping 1/2 a bag of horse sweet feed on the ground in a pile close to feeder. It seems to help some times.

If there's lots of activity going on all around you, but you keep the activity to a minimum on your place, you might just have yourself a little honey hole there. I've got one place that's like that. It's not worth a darn until November gets here and the wars start.

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.
