Saw a lot of deer Sat morning, but they started moving around 8am as I stood in the kitchen drinking coffee waiting on the deer where we were planning to hunt to stir and settle down so we could go put up blinds. Saw a total of 5 deer in 2 sits between my wife and I. Wind really hurt us Sunday morning.

I had two 8 points Saturday for both hunts. One of which was a good looking deer 15" spread but only 2.5 years old so he walked this year. I did shoot a yote Sunday morning.

We hunted Childress county. Saw about 15 total deer. Young bucks and lots of doe. We took a double on Saturday afternoon about 7 pm. Rachel
Shot her doe at about 10 yards and mine was the same. We were completely covered up on Saturday afternoon. Some as close as 8 feet from the blind. It was great.

Saw plenty of deer on Saturday morning and afternoon hunt. Came to draw on this big mature eight at 22 yards Saturday morning but he made turn away from me at last second and moved out of shooting lane. I am 17 ft up in oak tree with heavy canopy. This is trail cam picture of him right before he left the feed pen and walked by my set up. Saw him Saturday evening but he was too far away. Sunday morning front blew in and nothing moved in the wind. Hope to get another chance at him this weekend....

Young co, saw only bucks, young ones, but did see one mature 10, first time in a long time that we saw a mature buck. This one got an arrow from a Mathews Z7 with a Rage broadhead at 27 yards, he went 20 more and piled up

Hunted my place in Denton county this weekend. Deer movement was better then it's ever been for opening weekend. Lots of does opening day. Had 4 hunters. One of my guys shot a cyote and doe in the same sitting. I shot a bobcat Sunday afternoon. All of us had a chance to shoot some does and at about 645 sunday evening a bruiser 130-140 strolled around between my buddy and I for about an hr jut out o range. Gonna try o stick hi
Thjs afternoon

Opening morning was good , however nothing to shoot. Sunday morning closed with a healthy 10 pt. on the ground from 28 yds. Monday evening ended with 2 piggy's on the ground so sausage will be coming soon. Good luck all.
