Got to my stand, had 45pics on the camera. At 7:45am a group of ten pigs came in. Drew back on my bow..dang peep sight is setting side ways. They ran before I could get it fixed. All 45pics, nothing but pigs. Same group coming in three times a day.

Saturday Morning, At 7:10am, I had 3 shooter bucks go to my feeder with me up in my ladder stand. Had 2x 8 points and 1x 10 point. 10 point was really smart and kept staring at me for a while. (I froze). At 7:15am the 10 point turned and moved behind a tree. (I had two choices, the 10 point or the large 8 point. The large 8 point had the biggest body so I chose him.). I aimed, released, and all the deer scattered.

Wasn't sure if I hit him or not, until 10 seconds later, I heard him crash in the brush and the familiar kicking.

Recovered the deer, and I had a 16-7/8" Spread 8 point. (Took a picture of him with my camera phone, but its not the greatest).

Saturday morning I saw a group of hogs 12-15. I shot the biggest boar. Great blood trail with the bloodrunner. Saw a ton of squirrels (red, grey, and flying) Some annoying crows that would not leave the area, and a couple of armadillos that made a whole lot of noise lol....But I saw 0 deer all day long...I never left the stand except to track that hog. Won't be able to go back until Monday morning hopefully...

Just tried to attach the pictures, but there's not a place to upload them to this forum.

(I don't have a server in which I can link it, unless someone can suggest one.)

Well I scored 1 1/2hours into opening morning with a nice buck! Man its a bittersweet feeling! I was hoping to get a shooter this year but it happen sooo soon. Short story. Passed on a cull buck 4X1 due to early season. At 8:15 had a mature doe cross the fence headed to my corn and I was supprised she was alone, 60 yrds behind her coming from the creek was a Huge bodied buck with a narley rack. He did no go to corn but instead walked toward me (I was hunting 75yrds west of feeder on fenceline) He stopped at 37 yrds and I released one from my Z7 hitting him 3inches above the heart! Ran 60 yards and piled up with a nice blood trail. Montec G5 did the trick! 14pt with lots of mass! Shot in Tarrant County and weighed at Joshua Deer Processing at 168LBS field dressed! They said it was the heaviest local whitetail ever weighed there.

Same here kept the doe i was watching on high alert. She never did settle down. Had a group of 4 bucks come in early. One spike one 6 point point a younger ten and what I think was the big nine I have been waiting on. To early to ID him and he was first to leave, confused2 maybe next weekend.
