My son's wife just called saying she had just shot her first pronghorn. Her family doesn't hunt, but she has always wanted to. When they married, he moved to her town and they applied for antelope permits for their family land. They received three permits, and she just filled hers. My son is waiting for me to get there Thursday to use his and give me my birthday present! My daughter-in-law has killed 2 bucks on my land, and 1 doe with a bow. She is turning into quite the hunter.

They have'nt sent me pictures yet. My son was harvesting corn, and had to drive a few miles when she called him. She went by herself to another field that hasn't been cut yet. He may have created a monster. She's already killed several coyotes. They have some bucks my son guesses to be in the 150+ range,, so they better beware come deer season.

I don't think it was much over 100 yards. These things haven't been hunted and they are tame. I was there this spring, and we had 3 bucks standing within 30 yards of our truck just looking at us. We shot prairie dogs and varmints then, and watched all the pheasants running in and out of the corn. I am leaving Thursday to use the tag they gave me for my bithday. My son and I both have tags, so we are going to have an awesome time. Me taking him hunting since he was about 4 is paying dividends now.
