Looks like I'll be the only person @ the land this weekend. Gets kinda boring between the morning & the evening hunts but not too bad. Anbody else go huntin' by themselves?

I will be alone as well. Wouldnt mind someone tagging along if my other feeders were throwing corn. As it is now, my new spot is the only one set up and ready. Part of going out this weekend is to do a little more work between the hunts.

I only have one feeder going as well. I have a ton of friends who rifle hunt & would like to go for rifle season but only a couple friends who bow hunt & they are busy for opening weekend .

That aint right..... but it was funny Naw ill be by myself of sorts...in camp anyways, first time in 4 years. Hard to find folks to go even when you want to mentor and supply nearly everything. Either they cant get kitchen passes or work or this an that an so on so forth. Need to get their priorities in order if you ask me! Oh I'm no idiot an a like able sort. If'in its to miserable I'm always available as hunting buddy to any that need one just about any time of the season! Have Bow will Travel!!!

If I don't shoot a Buck Saturday I have no problem swinging by and shooting a bigger one on your place Sunday if you get too bored.
UT/OU game Saturday afternoon that we'll have to watch.

@ 90% of my deer hunts are solo. I don't mind it so much...gives a man time to think when it's just him & the critters. Sadly, my opening weekend for archery is postponed until next Friday:( Wife had a "thing" today at work Irritated the heck out of me to postpone my first archery weekend for deer, but I married way UP, so I gotta take a hit now & then:) Ya'll be safe, good luck & save some deer for me out in Sterling County.

95% of my hunts are loners. I tried a 5 day bowhunt last year and that was a little long. 3 days is about right for me. Headin out in a few minutes for the bow opener, returning on Monday. I like the alone time but I do take some DVDs and occasionally my XBox 360. Great for when its hot mid day or when i get bored starin at the fire after a few adult beverages. Guess that meens I drink alone too.......

I'll be partnered up this weekend, but hunting alone next weekend. All in all, I prefer hunting alone.

I always get the pick of the litter. 350 acres to myself! My buddy of 28 years owns the land but he hunts down the road 1 mile. Don't get me wrong, it's gonna be awesome, but there is an old saying that goes something along these lines 'An experience is only as good as it can be shared'. Something like that. It's just nice to have someone to BS w/during the lull of the afternoon. Got my crap packed & heading out @ 4am for the 2 hour drive. Good luck to you LONERS!

Well, I came home after this evenings hunt instead of tomorrow. Didn't see anything all day. Busted up a bunch of pigs on the way to the blind this mornin' in the pitch dark. Didn't think about taking my generator so the dog & I were sitting in the dark this evening @ camp. I said 'forget this I'm outta here.'

I LOVE Bow hunting by myself on opening weekend. If you get out to your stand early (I was sitting on my ladder stand at 5:30am), the deer will never know you are there.
The bucks have absolutely no pressure on them and you can pattern them. I knew every morning I had between 2-4 shooter bucks showing up at my feeder between 6:45am and 8am.
Yesterday proved the point, at 7am, I had 3 shooter bucks within 20 yards of me for 20 minutes before I took the shoot. (I wanted to evaluate the deer to make sure which one I really wanted, and I need some daylight for that!!!)

I always end up hunting by myself, Every one says they will help putting up stands and feeders so they can hunt also but when the time comes its always just me. Guess it does not bother me to hunt by myself but it would be nice to have some one to share the hunt with.

I will be moving to the Elpaso area in Jan. So if any body is willing to drag the new guy around that area. I am willing to help set up sites and pay my part. please let me know.
