Has any one used Black Eye Peas (Dried) and Rice Bran. I know the Rice Bran is a powder and has to go on the ground but the Peas can go straight in to the gravity spinner feeder. I'm told the peas are a great source of protein and the deer will eat around the corn to get at it. The guys at the feed store sware by both products but they are selling the feed. What do you guys know?????

I'm going to test this out next weekend but thought I would ask before I spend the time. Got to clear out some pigs before the following weekend.

Just FYI, neither worked but the deer are tearing up the "fatal attraction" i put out 20 pounds a few weeks ago. They are comeing back three times a day and during the night. They have abandoned the corn which never happens. I'm sold....

I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!

I've had deer pick through a mix of corn, protein and black eyed peas. Didn't touch the peas at all. Just left them on the ground. Planted fresh, they ate them, well, at least they ate the plants.
Rye bran is what's in cmere deer I think, and that stuff sucks.
