Do you seem to be a better shot every year than you were the last? I don't remember my first bird hunt, but I do remember when I started getting serious about it. I'd go out and kill maybe three or four. Next season I'd get six or seven, next year I'd get 12 or so a outing. Now days I can darn near get a limit every time I walk into a field. Not claiming to be an expert, because I'm not. I just realized yesterday that I got a limit and only two birds got away that I shot at. I don't remember being that good in past years. So far this year I have 11 limits of dove, my best year yet I think.

Anyone else getting better as they get older?

If you shoot any amount of time--getting a limit of doves is no big deal. Especially depending on how they are coming to you. If you are solid pass shooting and they are flying over you going to another spot(with a 30mph tailwind), fifty yards high--well that's another story.
You can reduce your gun size all they way down to 410 and load almost less than even the smallest 410 loads--just to make it interesting. Some of the guys I shoot with do that.
When they shoot--it sounds like a pop gun going off. But, they all limit too.

Just feel lucky to have enough dove to shoot at lol

It is hard for me to get into a groove when I only see a couple birds each time I hunt Oh well bad day hunting is better than a good day working I guess.

If you are a good shot it's just a matter of having the birds.

If you aren't a good shot is doesn't matter how many birds you shoot at.

Every year you should get a little better. Perfect practice makes perfect. Anybody can just practice but if the don't fix their mistakes it's just a waste of time. Me and Passion practiced with alot with full chokes this off season and throwing skeet All directions, close, up to 50yds out, coming at you, going away everythi g you could think of. We'd even lay down as if we were in a field and shoot. Needless to say teal season came and we had 3 instances where teal came in and we both raised up and each got a triple. When it's just two guys and there's six dead birds laying there it's a great feeling. Helps even more if you got dove to practice on too.

Don't forget that you are probably getting better at picking where to set up as well, that is a big part of dove hunting, especially if there aren't a ton of bireds around.
