Ok so I know were all supposed to try and get along with the people that hunt next to us right? well what if that guy is just a complete TOOL BOX no hunting SOB?!?!?! Last year when it snowed after the season ended I was driving around the whole entire perimeter of where me and my buddy hunt, LOW AND BEHOLD and find that the a-hole next to me has set up some camo burlap and two buckets to sit on right on the fence line over looking where my tower stand sits....

How am I not supposed to be angered by this?!?!?! also during the season The guy and his son get out of the stand at ridiculous hours, DURING PRIME TIME!!! early in the morning!! Its a hassle and I really hate the fact that hes out there.
So I guess here is what I want to ask, hes got a son, and I know that they will be out there youth season, but I think he might be to old now,and I know ill be out there bowhunting and I want to take hime down, so Im gonna call the game warden to try and bust him. Now does this make me a bad person? or selfish?? This guy is not a "true" hunter, I like to think of him as a "drugstore deer hunter"....
Would anyone else do this if they were in my shoes??

some of that stuff he has done doesnt sound like a good idea, but it doesnt sound like he has done much wrong from the story you tell. you might try talking to him about it. maybe its just me but you can get out of the deer stand anytime you feel like it. i could be wrong i havent read all the rule and regs! lol

I would rather have him on the fence line than his feeder. At least you know he will be shooting away from you that way.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

ok here is a decent visual I constructed on paint, CLEARLY he is not hunting HIS property, he is shooting over the fence.

He will surely say he's hunting the fence line on his property, but setting up a decoy buck on your side in the brush near your feeder may make his true intentions known & allow you to catch him red handed on your side.. Have back up. Just sayin'...

He probably made a post about how some guy is planting a food plot on his fenceline and pulling deer out of his heavy heavy brush.

From that drawing, it looks like you are both hunting the fenceline. Why don't you just go over and talk it out instead of playing CSI:Deerhunter?

he had burlap ON your fence? and buckets right next to them?

good lord man... why haven't you called a mafia hitman on this guy and his entire family yet!???!?!?

also, not to get into a "who came first", but to me it looks like your stand and feeder is set up in such a way that you're shooting directly at his stand.

It is clear he has no consideration for your huntimg area. If he can get a shot at a choice deer, benefiting from your food plot, and all your planning, hard work, and hopeing for that master buck to come along, if you can see him , take a shot.

He is likely shooting deer moving from the heavy cover/bedding area into the food plot. Maybe the deer are starting on his property and then coming over to feed. That would make them "his" deer before they jump the fence.

By the looks of the diagram you are both hunting the fenceline...

my tower stand sits about 245 from the fence, The deer travel from left to right, or right to left, I have never seen a deer hop the fence right there because the Brush is WAY to thick. Remember guys this is not an "up to scale" diagram. All in all I just want to catch him in the act and get him out of there. If this makes me a D*ck, then so be it.

is there a road/sendero cut along his side of the fence line, or does the brush go right up to the fence?

Another thing, maybe you are shooting towards his stand. It kinda looks like it could be. Maybe he is trying to send you a message? Just man up and talk to him. If you are hellbent on catching him, then buy a decoy and set it up, see if he shoots it. Not much else you can do.

Can he even see the buckets from his stand? I think I would play the waiting game and see what he does. That and walk the fence line to see if there are boot prints crossing back and forth.

Hummmmmmm....Isn't there another thread where a guy is saying that the neighbor across the fence has a blind off from the fenceline and it's facing his property, so anything the guy shoots will be toward his direction and may be a danger to him?

Someone suggested on that thread to put a false blind on the fenceline to send a message!

Sure sounds familiar!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Just set up a game cam to take shots down the fence line were he would be crossing so if he does shot a deer on your side and crooses to recover. He will be busted. I would also make darn sure your shots toward your feeder does not cross his fence line. If so your busted.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Dude you are being ridiculous. Just talk to the man. You are throwing all kinds of things out about him but obviously never spoken to the guy. Like I have said on the other threads exactly like yours, grow a pair and go talk to him. It is called communication!

The guy hunting the land next to me would walk the fence line in the morning and clear every deer out of my wheat field really ticked me off .So I talked to the man problem solved.
