Has paid off greatly......9 hunts so far this year, limits of 15 every time except once and that was 13 birds.

Let's see you do the math....

$60 a day hunt would have cost me $540 so far
$75 a day hunt would have cost me $675 so far

Nice investment instead of paying by the day....And guess what.
I think I am going back out tonite...if the birds are still flying why not.

133 birds killed so far banana

my season lease has given me about 28 birds over 7 hunts. Fields full of sunflowers, several watering holes...just not many birds...bet this front brings them in out there..who knows

but, I duck hunt there for free and my neighbor and I are the only ones who have that access so it evens out.

Well I have no lease and I hunt on 2 public hunting spots heron Wichita falls and one private one right outside of town and only shot at about 5 birds and killed one. Went out to a friends property in floydada and saw a few.

I see more in town and in my back yard then I see anywhere out in the fields

Man I'm with you on that one! I see more around my neighborhood and even in my yard than I do out in the fields. I've been 8 times this year and have seen about 20 birds. I'm hunting some good areas too, I can only hope that this front has brought some in.

That's great and that's the way to gauge your expenses grin

Sounds like you picked a good one. Make hay while the sun is shining, shoot em up.

I wish i could find a good place to hunt... one year we got a lease that was full of maze fields, a corn field, a cotton field and a bunch of haygrazer... Right on the san marcos river.... never got a limit out there, and had hell finding a few birds to take....

Strange thing was, 90% of the birds i took came out of the cotton field, apparently they eat the seeds some how.

It's just amazing that people will NOT pay for a season lease thinking they won't use it....but will pay for about 4 hunts on a day lease.....
Heck even at 4 hunts I have broken even for a $50 a day lease..

Anything after is a bonus and with it being so close to home...I can't afford not to do it.
The draw back is the wife doesn't like it so much.....OOPs

Well, ive gone on three hunts this year and gotten three limits.... All i paid for was shells.... So HA!!! lol.

So, i think its amazing that people will pay at all to hunt a place rofl hammer

And my miss lady doesnt like me having to kill birds every weekend of dove season either.... we are gonna try for another limit or two this weekend, hopefully the cold front brought some down.

Most don't buy season leases because most get shot out rather quick with all you can eat model. Sounds like you got a good one though, probably one that’s not over crowded.
