I've got several blinds I need to take down and relocate on the lease. What's the best way to get these on the ground without toppling them and ruining them?

use a tractor with front end loader if you have one. Or 3 ppl should be able to lower one like that down to the ground with no problems.

Yep, tip it over. Tie one side to a truck and lower it down slowly. If it's heavy, use a truck on the opposite side to control the descent.

My first thought would be to get several of your biggest strongest friends, divide them into 2 groups, have them get on each side and pull the top over with some heavy rope. One side pulls it over, the other side keeps tension the opposite way to keep from falling over too quickly.

Or could use the same principle but with trucks instead of guys.

Maybe a better option out there, but that was my first idea

Use notched 2x4's to controll the drop. Slide the bottom end till you can grab it by hand. 4-5 guys I'd guess.

The easiest way I have found to lower stands is with a really good rope. It is easier to control the decent than with a chain. Make sure the rope is long enough to wrap around a tree or the ball on your truck. Take several wraps and then just inch the rope by giving it a little slack. Back the trailer where you want it and tilt the stand that direction. You can lay the stand over without any problems.

I have moved deer leases 3 times in the past six years and there is no easier way that I have found.

X3 on the gin pole. I've seen a guy move (lower & raise) bigger stands than that by himself.

Practice doesn’t make perfect.
Practice makes permanent.

Good input guys. I'm going to try and find someone with a gin pole truck near Comanche to help me out.

Gin Pole for sure, always take a chance of the towering crumpling on you not using one,,,,,voice of experience and broken towers.

Can make a gin pole yourself and dont need a truck.

1 rope longer than the tower is tall to the rear hitch of a truck/tractor/ATV. 2nd rope off opposite side of stand. Dally (several wraps) the 2nd to the brush guard or tow hooks of a second truck. Couple guys on the second rope to slowly lower it slowly.

As an update, we end up using the neighbor's front end loader with a hay fork installed. We put the fork under the blind's bottom, lifted a little pressure off of it and then loosened the bolts to let the base fall free.

We then loaded them directly onto the trailer. As for the tallest one (15' to the bottom), we had to add 5 wood pallets and it was VERY iffy when it was coming down. All went well though.

A front end loader can help in so many ways.

If you have a Hay stinger in your truck get a long piece of pipe that will slide over it and use it like a big GinPole ! Works great !

We moved them all the time on our lease. Tie a rope to a truck or 4 wheeler on the upside. That will allow you to lower it slowly. Tie onto the downside and pull with a truck or 4 wheeler to get it going then control the rate with the upside ropes. We took most of ours apart once on the ground. Seperating the box from the tower part and transporting them seperate. Although on some we just layed the whole thing down onto a lowboy trailer and took it to where we wanted it. Also used the winch cable on the truck to control the rate at which it "fell" too.
