Holy Crap! I went to Lowes today to get a new gfi outlet for my outside flood lights, $8.95 for a bag of "DEER CORN"! The lady looked at me funny when I asked her if it had protein based GOLD in it!!

Academy had it on sale last week for $3.99 for a 40 lb bag. I bought 20 bags. Keep an eye out on the sales ads.

I get 100lb.shelled for $9.00.

Greetings boyz... Here in God's county (Union county NC) the local farmers are charging $40 for a 55 gal. drum filled to over the top... figure it weighs about 400-450lbs.

But if you catch them early, some have "last year's corn" still in their silos... I bought my first drum for $20. It's all been eaten.

I have been reading the posts, and can not believe the price of corn. It is still around 5.50 here in South Texas. I know for a fact that this year was a huge harvest in our area and there were problems on finding storage for the corn. I dont know why the price is still up. The cheapest place to buy corn is usually at a large feed store and supply. It is even cheaper if you can go straight to the farmer himself. Most will usually sell it outright, unless they have it contracted.

My friend bought some corn from Dick's and we think it is the worst looking corn we have ever bought. I will not go back to Dick's. I did purchase some corn from Academy and it is the cleanest corn I have ever used. I know they are out now but when they are in stock I will absolutely buy from them again.

Feed store in Shamrock is over $8.50 per 50lb. bag of dust filled crud. We'll be haulin' it up from now on.. Greed tends to run off customers.

Got 20 bags at my local Walmart today for $3.99 for 40lbs. They have dropped there price. Was $5.47.

Husky Feed in Blackwell is $6.50 for 50 pounds. Really clean corn too!

The Arlington Academy has it back on sale for $4.89/40lbs. They only had 1/2 a pallet last night

i was at the walmart in temple, they had their corn marked at $2.47!! i asked if that was the actuall price to the guy workin in sporting goods and he said if it wasnt thats what i get it at anyway. Well it wasnt, it was suppose to be $4.47 but since they had it marked at $2.47 they had to sell it to me for that, got 13 bags lol

I've been told the HEB's down South have 50lb bags at some stores for $5.00. Buddy of mine bought some coming back from Victoria. Not sure what HEB he stopped at.

I bought mine at Dick's last month -- corn was really clean. Was just at the Dick's in Dallas today and its $4.49 - they've got plenty.
