For those of you that are hunting in SD this year they are releasing banded pheasants in Brown County South Dakota (Aberdeen). If you shoot one you get a cash reward and also a chance at 1 Million Dollars. Only 100 birds released. Good luck to everyone and I hope someone shoots the Million Dollar Bird!

One of my first threads on this forum was about my $4,500 quail. You just topped that one.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

It'd be tragic if someone shot it, blew the band up to where it was unrecognize able, or lost the bird etc.
Say When.....

My luck I would see a coyote run off with my tagged bird.

I believe Cabelas helps put that on. They do it at the one in Mitchell I believe.
I hunted in Aberdeen 3 years ago, went by Cabelas that night and only 30-35 of the 100 bands had been successfully brought back in. So if you shot one, your chances of getting drawn went up substantially.
