Deciding on getting a Taurus revolver or a S&W. Been leaning towards Taurus just cause of the cost factor. Took a look at some at Cabelas today and the craftsmanship looks like crap. But other than that are they good lil guns?

I have liked every Taurus revolver I have ever owned or shot. That being said its been probably 7 or 8 years since Ive handled a new one.

I've got a Judge that fires everytime I pull the trigger and has never had an issue. However....if I'm trusting my life to it, I'm going to spend a bit more for the S&W. I guess it kinds of depends on what you're doing with it.

I owned a 66 about ten years ago...wish I still had it. Smith and Wesson is a better revolver however.

I've liked the Taurus revolvers that I've owned. I like the Ruger revolvers that I currently own better.

Yeah I want to get small Taurus revolver for conceal carry. I just love the prices on them. But just not familiar with any revolvers what so ever. I mean the finish on the S&W are a looks a whole lot nicer but who's going to be looking at it when its conceal. Read some reviews online and said some Taurus's were lemons?? Can anyone translate that for me?

I've got model 686 in .357 and model 85 .38. The 686 is the most accurate handgun I own (shooting single action). I haven't done any work on it so shooting double action takes getting used to for accuracy.

In all honesty I think the all steel model 85 is the best snubbie revolver on the market. I had one, and I wish I had never sold it...
