Wife had a recipe...I added ground venison.. My buddy had something similar and he called it Navajo stew, wife called it taco soup.

Anyway, here it is, two lbs ground meat(I used Axis once, Buffalo once, venison several times) beef to, but heck why not use the ground venison. I brown the 2 lbs and then add a beer and a little water, not more then a cup and add the pack of taco seasoning to it and let it simmer down like the pack of taco seasoning says to do if you were making tacos. Then I add 2 cans black beans, 2 cans pinto beans,,,you can add 2 cans of kidney beans or do what I do and add 2 cans of ranch style beans....I drain them all, but the ranch style beans. 1 can of rotel, 2 cans of diced tomatoes..I do not drain the tomatoes or rotel...1/2 to 1 onion chopped up, 1 to 3 jalapenos, and then a pack of dry ranch dressing. Stir it up, let it simmer 2 to 6 hours, the longer the better if you ask me.

Now, you can also add a can or two of drained green beans and a can or two of drained corn if you want some color, but if you do both, add a little more meat.

I will pout a light beer, no matter just light beer to it when I am done and it simmers.

Shocking as it sounds, I seemed to escape from any type of effects of it all weekend.

Take some corn tortillas crumble them to chips then fry them. Add to your soup and you have Tortilla Soup.

you can add more meat instead of beans, but it is pretty good with the beans......remember it is a soup..not chili...LOL
